First Fresh, The Only EVOO You'll Ever Need, or Want

I was recently sent a lovely bottle of First Fresh EVOO from Bill Sanders and Wow, it was love at first bite.  Like a lot of people, I started using EVOO several years (Okay a lot of years) ago knowing it was a healthier way to cook, and a great way to substitute bad fats for healthy fats. I usually have several different bottles of Olive Oil on hand, one with a mild taste (so it won't add that bitter bite) for foods that don't have a strong flavor, and another EVOO that can stand up to stronger flavors.  I'm happy to announce that I've found the perfect EVOO, the only one you will ever need because the flavor is FANTASTIC!  That's right, no bitter bite.

So here we are, starting a New Year, and a lot of us are making resolutions to eat healthier. Usually that means making a sacrifice, or giving up foods that you like, well, I can honestly say that using First Fresh EVOO is not going to feel like either.  Try using First Fresh when you make your next vinaigrette and I bet everyone eats more of your salad. 
If you want a delicious and easy way to impress your guests with the salad or soup course, pour some First Fresh EVOO in a shallow dish, mince some fresh garlic, sprinkle some flaky  sea salt, and grind your favorite peppercorns on top and serve with a crusty bread ( I used Como Batard, a sourdough french).  My family couldn't get enough of this combo.  The nice thing is that First Fresh can be used in place of any EVOO,  don't forget that adding First Fresh to  butter will allow you to cook at a higher temp. without burning the butter and give you a healthier outcome.  Half, First Fresh EVOO, and half butter is a good ratio if you want the butter flavor but want to saute at a higher temp, and want to make your dish healthier.  
Another easy, healthy, and delicious way to impress guests (or family) is to oven roast Asparagus, or Haricort Verts (whole petite green beans).  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Place your vegetables in a single layer on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with just enough First Fresh EVOO to coat them, roll around to coat all sides and sprinkle lightly with smoked sea salt (this is going to make them taste like they were roasted over an open flame). Roast for 5 minutes, turn your veggies and roast another 5 minutes  Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese.  I promise you that this will be a big hit!
